Genuine Canon product delivered very quickly. Haven't had it long enough to evaluate the battery life. Seems fine. I would buy from here again.

Original equipment batery for Canon ST1 July 18, 2010

I purchased this battery, 'CANON KP-E5' as a backup for my camera. As of this evaluation I've not had need to supplement either the original or this extra battery. The reason is two-fold; 1) Haven't activated my camera, a Canon TS1, during any one learning session such I've required additional power over that supplied one Canon KP-E5 battery. 2) The capacity of the Canon LP-E5 battery is a good power source that hasn't needed to be supplemented.
Canon has it right with these original batteries. I've used this battery in lieu of the battery that came with my camera as a substitute, and they seem identical. The power these batteries provide has allowed me to examine the multiple features of my camera and take innumerable pictures during any lengthy familiarisation. Thus far I've not used a quarter of the power available in either original Canon LP-E5 battery. I feel very comfortable that when a need for extra power is required, it'll be available. To summarize these batteries fulfil the camera power needs and they recharge in less than 90 minutes. This battery is a bit pricey, about $40, but I'm very satisfied with the OEM performance.

In overall, this battery seems to provide the same amount of "battery life" as original one that comes with Canon. I only noticed that it takes a bit more time to recharge the flash when you shoot in drive mode.
Good battery for that price. Highly recommended.
