I shot an entire wedding (over 700 pictures) as well as a bunch of other shots on one charge with this battery, and it's still ticking. I highly recommend this over the Canon, even though it might not last exactly as long. Get 2!

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit concerned about how these batteries may stack up next to the canon battery that came with my rebel T1i. I ultimately purchased two of them, because I was expecting them to die relatively quickly and need to be changed more often than the canon battery. It has actually been the exact opposite so far. My canon battery lasts noticeably LESS long than either of the Opteka batteries. Maybe I received two particularly good copies, but for the price I have been more than pleased with these batteries.

Bought as a spare for a recent trip. Worked wonderfully. Never got either main or spare down to the "low battery" warning. Took plenty of movies and flash pictures, both this and the OEM battery seemed about equal. Very unscientific test, but if you are planning a trip, this will compliment your OEM battery wonderfully.

I am very pleased with all products from Opteka. I use the battery grip on my Canon T1i and have had no problems with the batteries. I have shot 300 pictures plus without even loosing one bar. I would recommend both the batteries and the grip to any one.
