Great for a spare March 9, 2010 S. Kortas (Los Angeles, CA) Immediately after receiving my DMC-ZS3 I knew that one battery wasn't going to be enough. If you plan on shooting some video along with taking photos, you battery will die within a day. I bought this as a spare and feel more comfortable having a backup in case I have the camera on for too long.
Panasonic Battery March 5, 2010 R. stull (Pittsburgh,PA) I wanted a factory battery for my Panasonic SZ1 and that's what I got! At a great price too.
Extra Battery for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 February 26, 2010 Steve (St. Louis, MO) I bought this as a spare battery for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. I read other reviews and some people said their battery did not work with the ZS3...maybe they got the wrong battery because mine worked fine. It has the same Model # as the Spare Battery listed on the Panasonic web site.
Panasonic Battery February 20, 2010 G. Wright (San Diego CA USA) Works like a battery for my new high tech camera. It charges and discharges as I use it. I was glad I could find a spare, since the battery does not last a long time when (zooming reviewing, sharing photos)using the camera.
Genuine Panasonic Battery February 17, 2010 T. C. lam (SF, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading a few negative reviews on Vortex, I was very skeptical about ordering from this company. However, DMW-BCG10 is not an easy-to-find item out there, so I had no choice but ordering from them.
I "received" my battery quickly. The reason I quoted it is because the USPS delievered it to the office next door instead, so I had to wait for a few extra days, but it wasn't Vortex's fault.
It is a 100% genuine Panasonic battery and works wonderfully with my camera. IMHO, I will never buy any generic battery again even the camera doesn't require that. I bought one generic battery for my Canon once. At first it worked perfectly fine, but as time (about 1 year later) goes by, it doesn't last for more than 2 consecutive hours with far less than 100 photo shots. It truely becomes an emergency "backup" battery only because I can't use it for anything seriously. The original Canon battery, however, still lasts for 1-2 full days for a few hundred consecutive shots between charges and weeks for occasional uses.
Therefore, as expensive as it may seem, an OEM battery is worth every penny and more.
